The county clerk has stopped dispursing alimony checks on schedule. They have the alimony payments from ex husband's employer but have stopped sending weekly as written in divorce decree.

As you didn't identify the state in which this is occurring, and we have no way to investigate what happened, you will need to consult a lawyer in the state at issue.
I agree with the other response...however...unless the county clerk has told you specifically that they are holding the money for some reason or another, its far more likely that the ex's employer is withholding the money from ex's check, but is delaying sending it to the state. Smaller companies with cash flow issues sometimes do that.
I'm sorry about that. The alimony payments are coming from Tennessee. I currently live in Michigan. The clerk has informed me they have received all payments from Ex's employer on time and now have to hold each check for 21 days. I haven't received a check in over a month. I guess what I really need to know is, do I need to get an attorney in Tennessee?
