    Post Kicked Out at 17

My question involves child abuse or neglect in the State of: michigan, canton

i was kicked out at 17, could not agree on rules and my mom kicked me out. i tried to work things out with them and talk to them ( maybe not as well as i couldve but my parents are older since i am adopted and do not like change.) and now i am not allowed back. they wont let me get my stuff and refuse to help support a little. Do i have a right to even a little support (financial support i guess) (since i am not 18) and what is the right way to get my stuff that i paid for.

When are you 18, what kind of rules did you not agree on, and where are you staying right now?

Your parents are still responsible for your support until you reach 18. If that is soon, don't bother. But if it's closer to a year, call MDHHS.

DO bother- the police can accompany you to the home to retrieve your belongings, at least. MDHHS can connect you with services to help, even if you're close to 18.

I doubt OP is still checking in on this thread. It's been almost 2 months.
