Default Can You Get a Refund from a DOT Medical Exam if the Doctor Uses the Wrong Form

My question involves malpractice in the state of: Texas

I went into a minute clinic to renew my DOT medical certificate. I paid 100.
The doctor acted like he didn't know what the proper procedure was.

I went to the DMV (2 hours). The DMV employee pointed out that my cert. was missing the examiner's exp. Date.

I'm 2 hours from leaving town.
I call the clinic and ask why the examiner failed to put his exp. Date. She talked to the doctor and it turns out he was certified to perform DOT physicals. I was pretty upset but professional over the phone. I asked how are we going to resolve this. I need to leave town soon.

I had to end up going back up to the clinic and half way retaking the physical. I then go back up to the DMV (2 1/2 hours) process to the state.

I tax a copy to my employer 2 days later. My employer tells me the certificate is filled out on the wrong or old form and I'd need to go back up there.

I go back to the clinic explaining they used the wrong form. They said i'd have to come back tomorrow as the doctor was not in. I told her I demanded a refund. 3 days later I picked up my certificate. Not one phone call was received my the manager regarding my refund.

What are my options here? I'm not for ruining someone's career but I feel that they are incompetent. Wasted alot of my time

You have suffered no harm besides some wasted time.

You can call and ask about a refund but given that they ultimately provided you the appropriate form, they will probably decline.

    Was the form changed recently?

why did you wait until the very end of your time period to get the certification done and honestly why did you expect a Minute Clinic doctor to be able to do it? Did you ask them when you made the appointment if they were familiar with the process/form? A quick Google shows me a bunch of bad reviews for DOT physicals at Minute Clinic. Many are that while they are on the approved list, they don't generally do them often enough to be familiar with the process.

If in the end you got what you needed and weren't required to pay any extra, I don't see where there is much you can do except write a bad review.

I called my primary physician and they do not do DOT physicals. I called a urgent care clinic near my home and they said they did.
