Default What to Do if Your Significant Other is a Bad Parent

My question involves child abuse or neglect in the State of: Indiana

So, recently found out my not so significant other is running next door, selling his script for beer and leaving my child alone in the home for who knows how long while I am at work.
I've told the police, children services were involved, but he lied and said he was outside and could hear him. My boyfriend neglects him constantly. My son wants for nothing more than for daddy to hold him, and as soon as he prayers his dad, he runs outside. I'm sure he does the same when I am not home. My son is not developing properly because of this. I work constantly, and give him as much attention as I can. He always comes to mommy now for cuddles and to be held because his dad doesn't. He bitches about caring for him while I work. Everytime I call, our son is in the background crying his eyes out screaming because he is being ignored. I am tired of it. I can't really afford a sitter, but I don't want my son being neglected anymore by his own father. I have full legal custody of him. His father keeps saying he is gonna have him taken away if I keep botching at him for not helping. Since he was born, he left him in his bassinet unless he was crying, then kept him in his play pen, now he just runs outside to get away from him.
    What can I do?

Sorry about the spelling errors, I'm still sure people can make out what I types

You probably need to find a way to hire a babysitter, and also need to think about leaving dad.

If you know it happening and you leave your child in that situation, you might also be blamed someday if something happens. You know he is being neglected.

You really need to find alternate childcare.

First thing you do is you leave the pos. Then you get alternative daycare. Family members. A local daycare. Anything is better than that guy.

Oh and his "father" can threaten you all he wants about taking him away. But if you stay with this "man" you will get your son taken away.

If you truly love your child you will do anything possible to keep him safe. End of story.
