Default Can You Evict Your Ex- from a Shared Rental

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Indiana.

I have lives at the same address with this man since December 2012. We are both on the lease now, but before it was only me. He bought the place, but has no title or significant proof of purchase. He did pay mostly all the bills and I did contribute when needed, but I had a lot of other expenses of my own to pay for, so it varied when I could. Now I pay all the bills because he has no income. We have a child together and he is a terrible influence on him. The significant other is currently next door selling his script for beer, and earlier he took off with a friend of his and bought beer. He has left my child alone before while I was working to go next door and drink it do drugs. I've told the police but they won't do anything. I want him gone! He can't care for himself and I don't want him around his child because he is a threat to his safety. What do I have to do to get rid of him?
His address is this one, as well as he gets his mail here. Not sure how it would work with me suddenly taking over the bills and all.

Hello, sorry, it's a trailer he purchased from a crack head. No title was issued because the dude stole the title back. We rent the lot it sits on. Originally I was the only one on the lease, then the landlord randomly added him. With no significant proof of him owning the place, would it be possible to evict?

You better clarify some things for us. He bought the place? From whom, and why wasn't title issued? He is also on the lease? So he is renting the place from himself? And you are also renting from him? Sounds like he could evict you, no?
    see above, sorry.

You are a co-tenant. Only the landlord can evict him.

Based on the above it seems like it would be better for you to get another place.

So, should I just go ask him then? The landlord I mean.

You can ask, but the landlord can only evict him if he's violated the lease.
