Default How to Move Out at a Young Age

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: California
Is there any possible way to move out at such a young age? Is there anything parental consent would help with or do I have to wait until I am at least 17 or even 18? Could I possibly move in with my older friend or boyfriend's family with parental consent? I would just like to know any way possible to move out at the age of 16.

You can legally leave home at age 18 in CA. If you were to leave while you are UNDER 18, your parents can come and get you and the police can physically drag you home. Further, anyone knowingly concealing you from your parents or knowingly aiding you in remaining out of your parents' control can face criminal charges.

So, NO, you cannot move out against your parents' will at a "young age" so long as that age is under 18.

YES, with your parents' consent you can move out of the home. However, if they permit you to move into a situation where you are engaging in sexual activity, you, your parents, your boyfriend, and anyone else encouraging or abetting said relations could also be charged with crimes.

There are only two ways a 16 year old, in any state, is going to be living outside the home. One is with parental consent. The other is if CPS removes you from the home because your parents have been declared unfit.

In the first place, you can live wherever your parents give you permission to live and NOWHERE ELSE. In the second place, you will be living where the state says you live and you may rest assured that it will not be with your boyfriend or his family.

There are NO other exceptions. In California or anywhere else in the US. There may be the occasional exception in some other states at 17 (though not in California). There are none at 16.

Don't be in such a hurry to move out. If there's abuse going on tell someone. Being an adult or on your own isn't what you think it's like.

These kids need to ve doing something constructive. We did volunteer work, had paying jobs, went to church camp, helped at Vacation Bible Scholl, ect.

Soup kitchens, reading to patients at the hospital ... tons of really amazing, fun things to be doing! Life lessons that might otherwise never be learned.
