Default Can Your Employer Send You Home Without Pay After Calling You In for Work

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: MN

My daughter works for a large hotel chain. She was asked on her day off if she wanted to earn some overtime. She told them she had dinner plans and they said come in afterwards. She got there and they said go home. Is she entitled to some kind of report pay?

    Unless she actually worked, no.

There is no Federal reporting time law and while there are a few states that do, Minnesota is not one of the few.
