Default Can You Collect a Judgment by Attaching a Settlement from Another Case

My question involves court procedures for the state of: Connecticut

Hi all, I won a judgement in small claims for a few thousand dollars from deadbeat tenants.

I recently found out that the person has filed a case for injury and is seeking compensation. (from someone, else, not me. I have nothing to do with that case)
I have the docket #, lawyer info, and all paperwork. It is about to settle, for much more than I am owed. Am I able to submit, serve, execute, or in any way shape or form garnish or put a hold on what they owe me?

For example, say I am owed 100 bucks, and the settlement is for 500. I attach the case fo rmy 100, get my 100, and they are paid the remaining 400. Know what I mean?

They owe me 2700, and the case is for over 25k. I'd like to do this if possible.

Or is his not allowed? Do i have to wait until the check is cashed and the money hits the bank? And then take it form there? I'll file for a bank execution if so, but it would be so much easier to attach the settlement.

    Thanks!

You likely can put a lien the settlement to get paid. Discuss that with a civil litigation attorney in your state to ensure you get the steps right to do it.

Here is a guide from the CT Judicial Branch about enforcing judgments. Look at Section 5 - Turnover Orders. I think that might be what you are looking for. And if that's not it, there are explanations of all the other options.
