Post How Can I See the Video of My Red Light Camera Violation

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California
I've just received in the mail a "courtesy notice" saying I violated 21453A which is apparently a traffic camera identified violation. I have been told that there is a url address and number I can use to view the video. But I cannot find it on the notice. Am I overlooking it? Is there a usual area on these notices where I can find the information?
    Thank you.

Try asking the company or agency that issued the ticket.

There's two kinds of courtesy notices, one of which you can ignore some of the time and the other which you can ignore 100% of the time!

    1. If the courtesy notice has four pictures on it and says, at the top, "courtesy notice - this is a not a ticket," it's not a real ticket and you can - and should - ignore it. Since it can be ignored, you may wonder: "Why did they go to the trouble of printing it up and mailing it to me?" They sent it out hoping that you will think that you are required to respond to it, and that as a result you will contact them, which will give them the opportunity to twist your arm to get you to tell them who was driving the car. So they can issue a real $500.00 ticket to that person. For more info about these non-tickets, do a search on red light camera snitch ticket.

    2. If the courtesy notice has no pictures on it and also has very few details about the violation (the name of the citing officer isn't there, the name of the street where the alleged violation occurred isn't there), then the courtesy notice may be associated with a real ticket. Wait a few days for the real ticket to show up in the mail, and:

    a. If it is from a town or location inside LA County, you can ignore it. For more info about that, do a search on red light camera no consequence and read the LA Times, NBC, NPR and LA Weekly articles that will come up in the hits.

    b. If it is from Millbrae or Capitola, check to see if it was mailed within 11 days of the violation date. If it was even one day later than that, do a search on red light camera demurring for info on how to get the court to dismiss the ticket for lateness.

    c. If the ticket is not from LA County, consider fighting it by doing a change of venue - moving the ticket away from the greedy city's home court. That process is described in Fight Your Ticket, a book available at every California public library.
