    Default Transporting A Runaway

I am 18 yrs old and i live in michigan , my girlfriend is 17 and she lives in los angeles. We got caught crossing th border on our way back from canada for wnter break , the border police called her mom and she had to go back home, her mom didnt pressed charges against me... now my question is since she didnt pressed charges against me ,will she be able to do that after, lets say...3 months ?! if she can press charges against me anytime she wants until when she can do that ? my girlfriend its turning 18 in 3 months and she is running away again to live with me, can her mom sue me with kidnapping charges then ? ( when we got caught i didnt got arrested, the police only asked me a few questions, the border police fingerprinted me and took my pictures because i believe i tried to cross the border without my passport, I got the waiver and i had to pay 265 dollars)
    thank you

Yes she can press charges later and if she runs to you again things could get worse! You best wait teh 3 months then she can leave legally and you wont face life altering charges!

Well, since her mom didn't press charges on you on the first place considering she had all the right to, I don't think you should repay her by making her daughter run away and live with you. You should try and work things out with her mom and get in good relations with her. You're young and so am I...but really think about it intelligently...do you really want to ruin her family life? Or, if it's already bad, do you want to be the guy to make it worse? I say you go down to where she lives and actually make an attempt at a better relationship with her family. Letting her runaway should be your last option in the relationship only if you're really dedicated to her. Anyways, that's just my take on it.
