Default How Long Do You Have to Stay in the U.S. in Order to Apply for Citizenship

So if I have been a greencard holder for 5 years and I have been traveling out of the country for a couple months every year. Can I apply citizenship now ?Does it count the date you receive greencard or the days you actually stayed in the country?
