    Default Expiration terms

    Hi .My my friend was charged with shoplifting in New jersey got released on bail and did not show up in court this happened in 1998 in July.Court issued bench warrant on him.Since than he lived in Oregon.He wanders if the charges against him expires ? He heard about 7 years, expiration period ? or according to current state law he will still be prosecuted.?

    Charges don't go away, merely because somebody runs away from justice.
