My question involves a marriage in the state of: California
I was married in Nevada in 2000. My husband was a cheater. After getting another woman pregnant in 2003, he disappeared. I gave up looking for him after about 3 years (trying to get a divorce), but he resurfaced again.
His first wife got in contact with me. They may not have been divorced when we got married. He may have forged legal documents. In the meantime, he is married again. We are not divorced.
How should this be handled? Contact an attorney in Nevada or California or both? Am I entitled to monetary compensation at this time? He left me without financial help, and I had to pay all bills accumulated through marriage, solely.
Please advise.
