    Default Parole Officer Misconduct

My nephew is on probation for soliciting a 14 year old when he was 18 (the 14year old was actually a police officer, kinda like the to catch a predator). Anywho, he is on probation, his probation officer caused him to lose his job. They demanded that he attend an unnecessary individual counseling meeting (his group counseling sessions were approved by the court system). He told them that he attends group sessions, and that if he did not show up for work he would be fired, they said they did not care, and of course he was fired. And i'm sure they know how hard it is to find a job, when you have a felony conviction. They are constantly making what I consider terroristic threats against him (i.e. we will through you in prision for the rest of your life, and some horribe bend over to pick up the soap hoopla). I question their integirty, due to their denial that they did not cause him to lose his job. They keep threatening him with prison, and they will make him move out of his mothers house because minors live there (he is not allowed to be alone with minors). Their behavior is definitely questionable. Just wondering is this normal behavior for POs. I do not negate the fact that he was guilty of a crime, however I feel that everyone deserves to be treated humanely. Any recourse.

    Default Re: Parole Officer Misconduct

Probation officers don't like people who are on probation to lose their jobs. I would venture that there is a reason the probation officer wanted your nephew to do the additional counseling, whether or not you believe it was necessary. If he lives with minors and his probation forbids that, they are within their rights to enforce his probation and make him move. If he violates his probation he can be sent to jail or prison, depending on his sentence, and they can tell him that.
