Lightbulb How to Get the Terms of Your Probation Changed

My question involves criminal law for the state of: PA

So I am originally from New jersey and got charged with a felony theft. when I got bailed out of jail i moved to PA to get away from all the toxic stuff i was around. Since I am younger my mother put up $6,000 for a "Drug treatment program" that is basically a scam because we don't do anything! Not to mention... I lived here for 7 months before I went back to jersey for my final hearing where they put me on 2 years of felony probation that would be moved to PA... (State parole in Williamsport) and also that I had to finish this "Treatment program" which is 2 years long. I have already put in 10 months here and we do absolutely NOTHING for my recovery. So I was wondering If i found a better oppurtunity to actually get a better recovery (for example I have this place in texas that takes my insurance and they know what they are doing there, opposed to the nothingness I get from this "treatment facility" that i live at) This place i'm at is basically a scam and i'm tired of it... I want to really change my life around... not pretend. So I was wondering if it would be in any way possible to get my conditions changed and possibly go to the texas rehab and then a half way house there. and possibly get my probation moved down there.... does that sound too far fetched? I am really serious about getting my life together and this area is really holding me back and preventing me from doing what I need to be doing.

Contact your probation officer and suggest the change of treatment program, providing documentation of the new program, and see what your probation officer has to say.

All you can do is ask your PO and give him or her the information you have. Also Texas would have to want to take on your case as well if they do put in the change. If Texas says no, then there isn't much you can do.
