No, actually, I wasn't. I counted on my brother to view the property because I was 400 miles away taking care of my mother for the past 6 years prior to the move due to her Alzheimer's and stroke. Circumstances did not allow me to see the property before driving down, and the owner was putting in some new carpet when my brother saw it, so I assume he thought the man would fix everything. Thanks for your help in pointing out that I simply must be stupid.
I've never rented a mobile home, and what is that supposed to mean?
Sounds a little bigoted, Gail. And in the Lake Isabella area, almost everything is a mobile home. In the middle of the Los Angeles forest, apparently it is the structure of choice. Not my choice, but I needed to try to do what was best for my mother, and that was seeing her son before she died. You should not insinuate that I chose a mobile home because I'm poor or on welfare; I'm not on welfare, but I am on my rightful retirement after working 48 years. Do you have any productive comments?
