My question involves criminal law for the state of: Massachusetts
I purchased discounted google play credits from a vendor in the Philippines. I was initially suspicious, but proceeded with the transaction anyways due to wishful thinking.
They advertise themselves as having their own methods of "farming [google play credits] large scale thus passing on the savings to our customers" but in retrospect it looks like they are engaging in credit card fraud.
My account is now banned due to a term of violation which I suspect is due the gap between the credits I received and the amount that was paid and taken back as fraudulent transactions.
The developers will not specify what the terms of violation is when I ask if this is the issue. Can I successfully ask my credit card provider/bank to revoke the transactions that I paid to the fraudsters on the grounds that they lied to me about the legitimacy of their business and damaged my account?
Their terms of service do not guaranteed that I won't get banned. It says "Always purchase at your own risk. So far we have no ban reports for the games that we are dealing with."
