Default Can You Get Unemployment if You Resign Due to Transportation Problems

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Nevada

I was just stuck in the mud by my property for 4 days until running out of food and walking 30mi to get help for me my wife and kids. We headed to my job to make sure to let them know so I didn't get fired. When talking to HR after being asked for proof and me showing them a video of us being stuck. Yesterday was marked as unexcused and today marked as unplanned absence which puts me at 9 out of 12 6 for the unexcused and 2 points till termination. I expressed my vehicle was about to break down and that would make it to where I would go over said points. The HR lady told suggested I resign and reapply after 90 days. Now I'm home and my vehicle broke down!! There's no public transportation to where I work and no way for me to get there. Will I be eligible for unemployment if I resign or should I let them fire me???
