My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Louisiana

Our neighbors are renovating their house, and want to put up ladders in our yard to be able to more easily do their work. Unfortunately we have had some problems with them, so we don't want them to access our yard. We told them and our property manager explicitly that we do not give the permission to enter and use the yard.

Now our property manager informed us that our landlord has given the neighbors permission to use our yard. Can he do that? Our rental agreement does not explicitly state whether the yard is part of the lease or not, but according to the lease agreement we are responsible for the yard work - hence we consider that we rented the yard and should thus get to decide who gets to have access. It is a private, fenced-off yard.

How is the legal situation? Can our landlord grant our neighbors and their contractors the right to use the yard, even against our will?

Thank you.
If its necessary to put the ladders in your yard in order to paint or work on the house next door, then one way or another you are going to end up having to allow it, in my opinion.
