Options:
They pay - You're happy.
They don't pay - You sue.
They don't pay - You don't sue and you kiss your deposit goodbye.

If you have complied with your obligations and they haven't refunded you the deposit after several demands, it should be obvious to you that they aren't going to and you will have to sue in small claims court to get it back.
Make sure you sue the building owner and not some flunky in the management office.
Oh, in case you are wondering, nobody gets awarded travel costs or lost earning for pursuing a lawsuit.
