Default Can a Lender Repossess if They Don't Have a Lien on the Vehicle Title

My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Michigan.

I would like to know if it was legal for my credit union to repossess my vehicle; even though, it was not listed as a secure interest on the title?

Default Re: No Security on Title Repossession

You would have to share more facts. If this is the lender that gave you the money to purchase the vehicle, you likely gave them the right to repossess by virtue of the terms of their loan contract and their purchase money security interest (PMSI) in the vehicle.
