    Default Are Military Star Card Debts Dischargeable in Chapter 7 Bankruptcy

    My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: Ohio

    I just filed chapter 7 and included the military star card. My question when this card us discharged can aafes/military star garnish my federal wages/ tax return through the treasury offset program.

    If the debt is discharged in your chapter 7 then you will no longer owe the debt and the government may not issue any new garnishments to collect it. If the government had a perfected lien on exempt property for that debt that had already attached as of the day you filed the bankruptcy that lien would survive, but apart from that there would be nothing else the government could do to collect that debt.
