Default How to Check for Criminal Records or Warrants

My question involves criminal records for the state of: Texas
Years ago I was convicted of a fellony. And sentenced to probation.
Long story short. I never received a letter to report and never did.
I have never had any problems, but how do I find out if I have a warrant?
    Thanks

Odds are very good there is a warrant out there but there are cases where things fall through the cracks. You can contact the court where you were sentenced to see if there is anything on file. How long has it been since this occurred?

You can likely contact the court that sentenced you for information, or the DCJ/probation office in the county there.

I would consider paying to have a background check done on myself. If there is a warrant it should show up in the background check.

You can search for your conviction record through the Texas DPS site, here, although it looks like you have to register before you can see pricing information.

You can't count on a warrant showing up through a third party service -- it may, but there's no guarantee. It's safe to say that a warrant would have been issued at the time, although sometimes a warrant that old will become inactive. You may be able to determine its status through the court in which you were convicted, although with records that old I won't promise that they'll be able to do a quick computer look-up, as opposed to pulling the record out of the archives.

I went to the DPS site and looked up my record.
It shows I was placed on probation.
And it shows the crime i was convicted of.
But it does not show anything else. Nothing. Does this mean i do not have a warrant?
    Confusing.

It might. The only way you might find out for sure is if you call the courthouse in that county or have someone else call and ask.
