Underage Consumption and Paraphernalia

I was recently riding passanger in a friends car and he got pulled over (in Michigan). I had been drinking that night and got a ticket which said underage consumption. Also, I had a pipe on me and got a paraphernalia ticket. I was wondering if the underage consumption is the same as an MIP and also what I could do about using the 7411. These are my first offenses. Also, what might I expect to be sentenced to? Lastly, I will be using a public defender, i'm short on cash and wanted to know how much of a difference this can make. Thanks.

What is the exact charge you face - identify it by statute or ordinance number (and if it's an ordinance, also identify the jurisdiction which issued the citation).

I got two yellow documents from the 52-3rd court in Rochester. One says person U/21 purch/poss/consume alc, the other says paraphernalia posession. The actual ticket from the officer said underage cousumption and narcotics paraphernalia. Does this help?

I'm not sure what other information you need. I think I face two seperate charges, one for blowing numbers and having alcohol in my body and one for having paraphernalia in my jacket. I don't know how to be any more clear then this. Does this help?

If you can't identify the charges you are facing, how can anybody tell you the consequences of your charges? You can look up Michigan's penal code here and a variety of drug offense statutes here.

As far as the paraphernalia, all I could find is what the definition is. I can't find any thing about ordinance or statute. Any help about how i could use the 7411 or any other information would be greatly appreaciated.
