Your driving privilege may be suspended or revoked in one state while your actual license is valid in your home state and other states.
I don't know what the trooper was looking at that was different then what the DMV has. You should go to the DMV in person and speak to someone, preferably a supervisor and explain the situation and see if they have an answer.
You have to deal with your court appearance as well. It might be wise to consult with an attorney in your area - he or she may also be able to provide some answers as to what's going on.
