    Read this overview of juvenile court.

    Depending upon the juvenile's home, school, community and prior police records, he could be looking at anything from a warning, to a period of informal supervision, to formal supervision, to a sentence of juvenile detention. He has the right to deny the charge and go to trial, although juvenile court trials typically offer fewer rights and protections than trials in adult court.
