    The baby should be able to get assistance. Mom is not eligible for assistance, under the circumstances. Mom cannot do a lot things, including consenting to medical treatment for herself. Mom is a minor and you don't have any legal authority to sign things for mom. Mom's mother is going to have to be involved at some point. Even if it's social services taking mom's mother to court. What a mess.

    Mom should be able to get birth control at a free clinic. But if she gets sick or is injured she can't do sign anything. She also can't get Medicaid for herself without her mother, unless social services gets involved. I don't think she can go back to school without her mother being involved at first. But, I may be wrong about that part. She also can't get a job without her mother.
