Homeless is one thing, but a RUNAWAY?? I can't pretend to know the law in Indiana, but I cannot imagine that they can assist in the concealment of a runaway minor. If this were the case, what would be the point of having laws regarding runaways?
In Indiana it appears that they would have to notify DCS of the situation before much could be done, and that DCS would have to make a determination as to status, or whether they should take temporary custody of the minor pending further investigation. And in IN it appears that to take the GED it appears that he would have to be 18, or have a recommendation from the superintendent.
