    Do you have to give your landlord advance notice of your intent to move, if your lease is expiring?

    The answer depends on the terms of your lease. Some leases will automatically renew or automatically extent from month-to-month unless proper notice is given.

    If the lease is silent on the issue, then the lease expires at the end of the lease term.
