Default International Travel After Applying for Naturalization

If you are a LPR and apply for U.S. Citizenship, will international travel for a vacation affect your permanent residency or naturalization petition? The trip was for two weeks over Christmas and New Years.

As long as your Green Card remains valid, you may travel outside of the United States. You must maintain at least 50% physical presence within the U.S. for the five years preceding the interview on your naturalization petition -- so a two week vacation is not an issue.
