Default What to Do if Your Ex's Parent Demands Money From You

A New Jersey couple, unmarried but living together, had some financial problems. The boyfriend told his girlfriend not to worry, and he borrowed money from his mother to pay their bills. The girlfriend was not asked about borrowing money and had no contact with the mother. Four years later, the mother is demanding that the now ex-girlfriend "repay" her. Is there any legal merit to the demand?

The mother loaned money to her son, not her son's girlfriend. She needs to get her son to repay her.
