Default Mailbox Incorrectly Marked as for a Vacant Unit, Mail and Packages Gone

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: North Carolina

I am renting from a large apartment owned by camden in Charlotte, NC. I went to get my mail and packages and a green "vacant" slip had been placed into my mailbox. I am still renting this apartment until next week.
All of my packages and mail are gone. This includes important tax documents, a new debit card my bank overnighted me, and my brothers birthday present (his birthday is today).

It seems to me that providing a mailbox is part of the leasing agreement and they have broken this. Correct?

When you asked your landlord why your mailbox was marked as "vacant" even though you are still in residence, what did your landlord tell you?

When you asked your landlord where you could find your mail, what did your landlord tell you?

In the end you may experience some nuisance level of issue, it would appear you have no actual damages. Given that you are moving apparently soon, just ask the usps to hold your mail for personal pick up until you file a change of address form.

if you think this will get you out of paying the last week, it won't.
