My question involves criminal law for the state of: Colorado
My friend ad myself went to Walmart today to shoplift. We carefully and meticulously approached the merchandise, looked at each other and nodded, and each grabbed a necklace at the same time and placed it in our bags. As soon as the jewelry landed in our bags all the lights went out and a HUGE disco ball lowered from the ceiling, and techno music started blaring. Two spotlights landed on us and then the employees surrounded us so we couldn't leave, and over the loudspeaker and announcement was made telling all the other shoppers to leave. When everyone was gone the employees told us if we ever came back we would be arrested for criminal trespass and they made us learn an interpretive dance about criminal trespass. It took over 3 hours to learn and they also confiscated the jewelry. They said we have to go back after store hours in a few weeks time and do the dance all over again, and if we make even one mistake they will press charges.
This seems extremely bizarre, I thought they were supposed to give you a lecture on stealing?
