I started working as a full time employee on CPT from August 2015. I graduated in Dec 2015 and my CPT expired on Dec 31st 2015.

While filling my OPT application form in OCT 2015, I filled in Jan 4th 2016 as my OPT start date since I thought Jan 1st, 2nd and 3rd are holidays so Jan 4th can be my OPT start date. But then it dint come to my mind that I would still be an employee of my company during those three days.

Now when I got my RFE on OPT extension, they asked me for my start and end dates of my employment history, I am confused if Aug 2015 would be my start date or Jan 4th 2016? I never had any termination in between.

Please advice?

I have rfe on my complete history. My opt start date is 4 feb 2016 . I have started working from xx on Mar 21 2016 to Aug 12 2016 ( where mar 21 to June 28 is paid position and after that it was unpaid trainee for the same company as it is consulting) I worked in client location during my entire period including paid n unpaid. I have started another job from Aug 24 2016 to till date .



I have sent my offer letters, employee letter stating both paid n unpaid positions in one letter , pay stubs, w2 and I 20 as well.

Are those proofs enough to state that I am working.Will my OPT get approved

Please help me
