Default Can a Nonprofit Employer Require Employees' Children to Attend Their School

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Minnesota

I am an employee of a religious Non-profit Org. My employer runs a Christian Non-profit school system. According to my employee handbook I am required to send my school age children to one of the schools run by my NPO employer. If I don't I will either have my pay docked or be fired. Is it legal for them to tie my earnings and employment to requiring my children to attend their schools?

    Thanks

Default Re: Can My Nonprofit Employer Require My Kids to Attend Their School

It is legal for your employer to make it a condition of your employment to have your children attend their schools. It is legal for them to fire you if you refuse.

Depending on exactly how your compensation and any applicable school tuition are managed, it may or may not be legal for your pay to be docked if you refuse.
