My question involves criminal law for the state of: texas
I was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia in my on campus apartment and i had consented to the search not knowingly i could decline or not even answer the door for that matter
And upon recieving my ticket the officers put the items into a trash bag from my apartment and left they re knocked on my door a few moments later with a person i hadnt seen yet previously enganging them ( non police officer) bag still in possession,
Is there any way i can discredit the search? I didnt know i didnt have to let them enter, i didnt know i didnt have to let them search, nothing was in view everything was away over half the items were away in a trunk under bed that i had forgoten about, and i didnt believe for a second if i asked for them to stop the search they wouldve, they said they smelled marijuana and asked if they could look around nothing was out i didnt believe what i was signing would lead to a full on tossing of my house, my second question is they didnt individually bag every item in evidence backs or create a log of the items collected in front of me, they items were laid out scooped into the garbage bag and never seen again, is there a chance to have the evidence discredited bc i cant verify if the items in the bag is all stuff it was an untied garbage bag how am i supposed to know if they didnt add anything to the bag
