I've read the laws on Emancipation, but I still don't fully understand what the requirements are.
For instance:
What happens if your parent does not approve of your being emancipated, but you really feel as though you need to be out of the enviroment? Would they be capable of stopping you?
Or if you aren't in any PHYSICAL danger in the household, will the court not find you eligable for it?
Or if you have a guardian that is financially able to take care of you in another state, but you don't want to go there, would they make that be the place for you to go?
Also, who would you have to contact in order for it to be seen?
Im sorry that it is quite a bit of questions. I'm really just trying to understand what makes someone suitable to be emancipated. I still have 3 months before I am 16, so I want to know exactly what steps are going to have to be taken in order for me to possibly begin the process.
Thank you. ^_^
