    Default Obtaining Criminal Records

20 years ago or more I was in trouble, was on parole, served my time, and paid my fines and restitutions.

I have moved around a bit in those years and have lost all my paperwork stating my fines were paid up etc. how do I go about acquiring copies of these documents again so that I can protect my self if the need ever arises?
    Thanks!

A: Go to the court where you were convicted and ask for a full copy of the file. The file may be in storage or even lost, so be patient.
