My question involves vehicle registration or title in the state of: AL
I paid for my Ex Wife's car and am now signing over the title to her. Do I need a Bill of Sale? What do I fill out on the bill of sale under amount if she paid zero?

You shouldn't need a bill of sale for that kind of transfer.
However, I STRONGLY (VERY STRONGLY) urge you to keep the title in your hand TAKE HER to the DMV and make sure the car gets retitled into her name on the spot. No excuses, no ifs, ands, or buts. Just do it. Oh, one more thing. Take a picture of her new title with her name on it and keep it in your permanent file.
Way too many people have written to these and other forums that months later the transfer never got done and they are besieged by traffic tickets, parking tickets, towing and storage charges, and lawsuits for injury and damage, all because the "official" ownership of the vehicle is still in their name. Nobody will listen to anything they say, accounts will be sent to collections, credit reports will be trashed, judgments result in liens on homes, wage garnishments, and license suspension.
Thank you for your great advice!
