My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Ohio
Landlord told me she could find someone to take over my lease, but I would forfeit my security deposit. Is this normal? Should a landlord profit like that? I was under the impression that a security deposit was set aside for very specific items/situations, and a mutual separation isn't one of them. There is no language in the lease regarding this situation, so looking for help![]()
