Default Do Adult Children Have to be Listed in Your Divorce Paperwork

If you file for divorce in Indiana, but all of your children are over the age of 18, do they need to be named in the divorce paperwork?

Default Re: Do Adult Children Have to be Listed in Your Divorce Paperwork

As child support in Indiana may continue to the age of nineteen, that would be the relevant age for whether or not a child should be listed as a potential dependent. There may also be situations in which parents may seek support for an adult child, for example a disabled child who remains dependent.

There is no reason not to include adult children in a divorce case, in the interest of completeness.
