    Default Who is Liable for Damage to an Employee's Property at Work

    An employee in New York had his cell phone grabbed and smashed by an angry client of the business. The client was subsequently arrested and charged with damaging the phone. Is the employer responsible to cover the cost of replacing the broken phone?
