    If a New York DWI is reduced to a DWAI charge, will the conviction still show up on your record?

    A Driving While Ability Impaired (DWAI) charge is a traffic infraction, not a crime, so it won't show up on your state criminal record; but you should expect that it will show up on your driving record.
