Default How to Get a K-1 Visa for Somebody You Haven't Met in Person

A couple has been together for two years, in an online relationship, but they have not yet met in person. One partner lives in Argentina, and her family does not accept or support the relationship and has prevented the couple from meeting in person. Will they be able to get an exception to the requirement that they have seen each other, based upon the distance and family interference?

In order to obtain a K-1 visa, the couple will need to have seen each other within two years of their filing. If they have not ever met in person, they will need to find a way to meet in order to qualify for a K-1 visa.
