We had a client move without providing any forwarding address. When we mailed our invoice it was returned to sender - no new address known. We eventually contacted them thru another means, however they are giving us a hard time claiming they never recieved an invoice. Question: is there any legal basis when a customer does not post notice of address change that is regularly billed thru mail.
Second; what is NYC's statue of limitations for taking legal action in court on a business service invoice, I have tried to find the time limits on line with no luck is there a resource for this?
Very helpful site - thank you
