Default False Confession of Stealing at Work

I was brought into a small room by the loss prevention people while at work. The main man and a girl were in there. The man started off talking to me in a nice manner, acting like he was trying to be my friend, then he tells me why we're there. He tells me I've been using my personal information during customer transactions to rack up rewards. I tell him I've never done such a thing. He begins to yell at me that I did and he had videos of me. I ask to see them repeatedly but he just keeps yelling at me that I did it. I tell him that I know they can track that, I'm not stupid to do that. I'm not confrontational and don't break rules so I wouldn't risk getting in trouble to do that. He says he has transactions so I ask to see them and he turns the computer monitor slightly so I can sort of see at an angle, and then turns it back. I kept telling him I didn't do it but he kept yelling and yelling at me that I did and that they will persecute me and have me arrested. I had told him to stop yelling at me and he said he wasn't yelling, he was just talking to me. Even though I had began crying he continued to yell at me. I was so scared and wanted to get out of there so I said I did it. He made me fill out a paper about the "interview" that had questions. One question asked how much rewards did I get? Because I didn't do it I didn't know so I asked and they grabbed a calculator and said $107. So I wrote it down. Now that I can think, there's no way $107 is possible. Every $100 spent gets a $5 reward. Now that I have accessed my rewards account, the month that they accused me of racking up rewards, I show only $20 in rewards. I know I confessed but only under duress. They told me to clock out and I was suspended until a manager called me. I was so shaken up, all I could do was keep crying in my car. What can I do?

you wait for a manager to call you and you hopefully are allowed to discuss the situation. But they may decide just to immediately terminate your employment.

There isn't a lot you can do unless the employer decides to take further action or use your statement against you in some way. It appears your denial of their claims is supported by the additions, or lack of additions actually, to your rewards account.

You need to copy the activity show in your account. If they delete it or prevent your acces to it, you would lose your proof.
