    A sixteen-year-old in Ohio is engaged to a thirty-year-old adult. How can they get married if the minor's parents disapprove?

    In Ohio, a sixteen-year-old female can marry with parental approval; a male cannot marry even with parental approval before the age of 18. Without parental approval, they can wait until the minor reaches adulthood.
