Question Can the landlord remove my belongings prior to the end of my lease?

    Chicago, Illinois

I rented a warehouse on a month to month lease. He has notified me that he wants me to vacate by March 1st and if my things are not out by Februrary 27th they will be removed by '[his] people'. "[They] will find a facility and will charge me for the move, the administration of the move and the cost of the facility'

Can the landlord remove my goods prior to the end of the lease?

Can he charge me for the move, the administration and the cost of the facility?

What is my recourse if these actions are taken?

If your lease is legally terminated, then your belongings can be put outside of the storage space. If he has to physically evict you he may be able to recover costs associated with the eviction process.
