    Default Roommate's Boyfriend

My roommate moved her un-employed boyfriend in to our apartment 4 months ago without asking. He actually moved all his stuff in (from out of state) and is very disrespectful. Things have gotten very intense and last night I told him that he needs to move out by April 1st (over a month from now) irregardless of whether he's found a job in Chicago (where we live). What course of action can I take to remove him from the apartment. I told her he needed to move out and she said that he is her "boyfriend and he will be staying". What are my legal rights? He is not on the lease.

He had a verbal agreement to pay me a measly amount (10% of rent). Nothing binding though, it was initiated as a temporary fix. Please help.

Does your ll know about this? Is there a clause in the lease about "longterm guests"?

My landlord does not know about this. The lease says it strictly forbids roomers, lodgers, or boarders. And then it says tenant shall not permit the use or occupancy to anyone other than the tenant.

Let your LL know about this "guest" and he will deal with the matter.
