    If you are in an altercation with your partner, and live together but are not married, can you still be charged with domestic violence?

    Domestic violence charges apply to a wide range of domestic relationships, including romantic cohabitation and civil unions, in addition to marital relationships, so yes, a domestic violence charge is possible.
